Lucy Maina is a program manager for the Zizi Afrique Foundation in Nairobi. Lucy has over 15 years working in the international development sector in education and health programs in the context of relief, rehabilitation and development. She has extensive experience in program implementation and management in the field and regional level, monitoring and evaluation, training, resource mobilization and budget management as well as research. She has previously taken part in primary and secondary school projects that include improving learning outcomes, curriculum development and assessment, education strategic plans for the Ministry of Education. She has also in the past been involved in community education based projects, adult literacy and alternative basic education programs in Kenya, Uganda, Somalia and South Sudan. She is a graduate of education from Kenyatta University, Kenya and holds a master’s degree in international cooperation and humanitarian aid as well as a master’s in public health.
